HELP Appeal has donated to the British Association of Immediate Care every year since 2019

Tony Kemp, Chief Officer, British Association of Immediate Care says:

“We are very pleased to be able to provide service-changing grants to ten voluntary immediate care schemes which will fund the purchase of two emergency response vehicles, a number of portable ultrasound imaging, monitoring and airway devices  as well as providing for specialist protective equipment and vehicle blue light fits. All of this enables current services to be further enhanced and for 12-new volunteer responders to be brought into service. Once again the British Association for Immediate Care is immensely grateful to the HELP Appeal for their ongoing support.”

Emergency medical equipment has also been funded by HELP Appeal donations.

Robert Bertram, Chief Executive of the HELP Appeal comments:

“Winter is well and truly here, with the roads becoming increasingly treacherous, so new rapid response cars and the latest vehicle safety equipment are absolutely vital to ensure the volunteers can reach an emergency incident quickly and safely. We are also delighted to see that funding will go towards state-of-the-art medical equipment which will give patients the best possible chance.”

Previous donations from the HELP Appeal have funded critical care cars

Dr Theo Weston from Cumbria based, BEEP Doctors, added:

“This is absolutely AMAZING news; on behalf of all the BEEP Team, thank you so much for awarding a further £25,000 to our charity. This is so kind of you and will make a massive difference to us. It means that we will now be able to go ahead & secure the #XC1 car as our own vehicle”.

The fourth grant from the County Air Ambulance HELP Appeal, brings the total amount donated to £1million.

Previous grant rounds have funded emergency response vehicles; essential clinical and protective equipment; defibrillators and monitors across the UK.
