Arthur H Worthington
1939 – 2021

It is with much sadness that we report the sudden passing of our dear friend and colleague, Arthur Worthington after a short illness.

Arthur was at the very first meeting when the County Air Ambulance was formed in 1995 and remained as our Charity Administrator right up to the time of his death.

Arthur worked for South Staffordshire Water in several key roles in Administration, Operations and Finance from 1955 to 1995 and he was then asked by the Chairman, John Harris, to become Trust Administrator for the new County Air Ambulance Trust to be based at South Staffs offices in Walsall.

It goes without saying that Arthur played a pivotal role in the development of the Charity and was the most professional and reliable person one could have hoped to be supporting both our staff and donors.

Over the past recent years Arthur reduced his working week gradually to allow more time to be spent enjoying his hobbies and spending time with his wife Chris and his family.

The Trustees and staff will all miss the rock-solid guidance which Arthur continuously provided and he will be greatly missed by us all.
